Billy Kirkwood is one of Scotland's most experienced stand-ups — a compère and headliner with thousands of nights of live work behind him, and a reputation as one of the safest pairs of hands on the circuit. Whether warming a tough room or closing a sold-out bill, Kirkwood has the kind of stagecraft you only build on stage, in front of audiences, over years.
The Comedy Attic is exactly the kind of room where that craft pays off. Hidden above The Beehive Inn — a 300-year-old pub in the heart of Edinburgh's Grassmarket — the Attic is a 65-seat venue with stone walls, a low ceiling, and nowhere to hide. Two hours of unfiltered live stand-up, every weekend.
Your host is Rick Molland, veteran of the Scottish comedy circuit and resident MC at the Attic. He warms the crowd, runs the bill, and keeps the night moving through the support…
